Decorated U.S. Olympian Bryan Volpenhein motivates world championship qualifier Michelle Trannel during the 27th Annual Ergomania! - the Northwest Indoor Rowing Championships - held this year at Seattle University. With 260+ competitors of all ages from 28 organizations, 666,748 meters rowed, 6 racers qualifying for the world championships, and a broken world record, the event was truly unique. A satellite regatta for the C.R.A.S.H.-B. World Indoor Rowing Championships, this immensely successful competition was brought to campus by Seattle University Crew and hosted by Pocock Rowing Center.

In recent news, Seattle U Crew is once again an official member of the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association. SU Crew was voted in after making successful application to the member coaches and Stewards of WIRA at their fall meeting in October. The team will now compete at the 2009 WIRA Championships at Lake Natoma, Ca, in May.

Who we are (in two sentences)

We are a student-directed collegiate rowing program that was founded in 1965, and consist of women and men from Seattle's Jesuit university. We now practice out of Pocock Rowing Center at the south side of University Bridge during the fall, winter, and spring, with regattas in the fall and spring, and Ergomania (AT SU) in the winter.

We are recruiting new members for the Winter and Spring Seasons, so check out the Recruiting page and show up to practice, or contact one of the team captains here.
