In short, which I may fill-out later, I made a few backups of the old seattleucrew.com website, erased it from the root directory, and installed Joomla 1.5.4. The site used to run on Mambo 4.5.1, and I updated/changed the software to the newest Joomla installation. Instead of using the old database, I'm just re-creating everything as needed.

I also switched the template from the airy Milkyway to the slightly more crisp, and interesting, JA Purity. The first had a rather Aqua feel, and was clean, but this Purity template is more attractive.

Hm, trying to figure out why the "results" and "vote" links under the poll lead to nothing... Google, don't fail me now!

Ergomania! 2009 at SU on January 31st

Seattle U Crew has been working with Pocock Rowing Center and is excited to announce that the 27^th Annual Ergomania! The NW Indoor Rowing Championships will be held at Seattle University on January 31st, 2009! Event details will be up soon.

Ergomania! is an official satellite regatta of the C.R.A.S.H.-B Sprints - World Indoor Rowing Championships.

In recent news, Seattle U Crew is once again an official member of the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association. SU Crew was voted in after making successful application to the member coaches and Stewards of WIRA at their fall meeting in October. The team will now compete at the 2009 WIRA Championships at Lake Natoma, Ca, in May.

We are a student-directed collegiate rowing program that was founded in 1965, and consist of women and men from Seattle's Jesuit university. We now practice out of Pocock Rowing Center at the south side of University Bridge during the fall, winter, and spring, with regattas in the fall and spring, and Ergomania (AT SU) in the winter.
